This Open Badge has been developed to allow MyLearning users to gain recognition for recording and reflecting on the day-to-day learning they undertake on any topic they choose.
By using the MyLearning smartphone application to capture learning when it happens, the learner will build a collection of learning logs in their MyLearning journal. These logs will contribute to deepening their understanding of the topic, and will form part of the evidence for this Open Badge.
There are four Open Badges of this type available in each calendar year.
To be awarded this badge, you must:
- Identify a topic of your choosing relating to your practice.
- Create a series of learning logs which record events, resources, thoughts and reflections relating to this topic using the free MyLearning smartphone application, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Apply your learning in practice.
- Submit a reflective account of (minimum 500 words) detailing what you learned, how you have applied this learning in practice, and what you will do next.
You will be required to submit a reflective account (minimum 500 words). This can be either written, typed or spoken evidencing how you have met the criteria outlined above.
You should make clear which parts of your evidence relate to each element of the criteria.
Remember, the evidence you provide will be viewable by anyone who you share your badge with. Please don’t include confidential or private information within your evidence.
