A focus on this period is critical to achieving positive outcomes for Scotland’s children and families. The framework is for childminders and other early years and childcare professionals working with babies and young children (0-3yrs)
- This badge is awarded to childminders who can demonstrate their awareness on the key principles of the framework and how to implement this into practice.
To earn the badge you must:
- attend the SCMA Pre-birth to three CPD workshop
- submit a 200 word statement using the application tab below to describe the following:
- outline the importance of the role of the childminder in nurturing very young children
- describe your approach and how you use the Pre-birth to three framework to support and develop young children, including the importance of responsive care and how you provide this (with examples)
- tell us about something you have learnt from this course and how it will support you to further improve your practice
