Early Years Scotland Annual National Conference featured guests and speakers including Maree Todd MSP, Minister for Childcare and Early Years who joined us to share the Scottish Government’s vision for early years as the expansion approaches, Professor Iram Siraj PhD OBE, Professor of Child Development and Education, University of Oxford who gave a keynote speech on the theme ‘What is ‘quality’ early education and how does it impact on long-term child outcomes?’ and Catherine Agnew, Chief Inspector for Children’s Services at Care Inspectorate and Education Scotland’s Janie McManus, Interim Strategic Director of Inspection who shared insights on the development of the new shared inspection framwork.
